Would you like some worms for afternoon snack?

My colleague came back from Thailand and bought worms!

Yea.. this type of worms are usually feed birds or fish.  And now can be tasty snack for human too.  Certainly these “snack”  not to be eaten alive….

I heard and watched TV before about fried insects such as grasshoppers, ants, scorpions, tree worms and etc…. but not actually seen it before…

I consider an adventurous person, no harm trying out then…hehehe.. Interestingly it wasn’t difficult to eat though, because it doesn’t have taste except a bit of salt but very crispy as if eating chips or JAGABEE (fried fries)…

My colleague given me to try a unique snack bought from China.. A snack for my tea time???… The rabbit meat is packed in a small packet.

I was feeling guilty when eating the rabbit meat though.  I felt I was kinda disrespecting myself and the beautiful adorable nature of this animal because I was born in the year of  rabbit!

Me being adventurous, i tried the snack… seriously, it taste like “char siew”, aka dried pork.

Rabbit meat is a common meat for country in China.

Strange houses

When people is strange, their houses can be strange too.

While i was driving, i slowed down my car abruptly…. and took a close look at the double storey house located near the Jalan Klang Lama (Old Klang Road) – Kuala Lumpur.  Something extraordinary I have never seen.  SOOOOOO many lanterns!!!!

I pondered, maybe this owner supplies lanterns?  Or gotten these lanterns on very cheap sale!  Or promotion buy 1 get 100!???

Never seen such a thing... More lanterns than chinese temples.

These shots were taken when I was in Kuala Lumpur during Chinese New Year.

Another strange thing seen today……

A KTV bar/pub called Cleopatra KTV (Bencoolen Street, Singapore)… has put lots of ‘heart’ to decorate their  premises ‘nicely and uniquely’ for 2009 Chinese New Year.

I’ve never seen so big red firecracker in my entire life….

Do you think its nice?  Hmm… people can be very creative and this owner is very creative that I don’t think its nice to see though.  Kinda scary to me…and it also tells that this owner plays loads of badminton games.. hahaha….

Beef ‘candy’?

My colleague came back from China has bought strange type of sweets?  China product can be veryyyy verryyy strange!

Fortunately although the packaging looks unusual, but the Ngau Yoke Kon (Dried beef) taste surprisingly delicious!  After finishing the last piece, I have the feeling they were not from the pure meat of beef or maybe made from a leftover beef meat………….Aiksssss!!
